When
the Queensland Racing Industry is assessed, the owners of Burwood
Stud can hold their heads high for offering breeders agistment rates
and stallion service fees at prices which any current or prospective
breeder can afford. The history of Australian Racing is filled with
wonderful stories of racetrack champions who were not sired by expensive
stallions – nor were they out of former great race mares. With
the highest stallion service fee being A$2,500, and with stallions
whose racetrack feats are exemplary, there is no doubt that Burwood
Stud is one of Queensland’s premier harness and thoroughbred
racing studs, and will attract an increasing clientele in the forthcoming
years.

Wattle
Brae is set on 700 hectares (approximately 1600 acres) of fertile
country on the eastern slopes of the famous Darling Downs, Queensland.
The Toowoomba to Warwick New England Highway is nearby. Our property
extends over three separate kinds of country, from irrigated river
flats with their improved pasture, to cropland under barley and oats,
to hill country with natural grasses and established trees. |

Mountain Stud is located 14 klms east of Warwick on Queensland's Darling
Downs, famous as the perfect mix of climate and country for breeding
thoroughbreds. This thoroughbred breeding nursery, still undergoing
refurbishing, is aiming to become one of the major studs in Queensland.
Standing five well credentialed stallions for the 2001 season, CLEAR
